Description
Umton Oil Paint Cadmium-Chromium Green Lightest
Umton oil paints are highly valued among professional painters for their top-tier quality and a long-standing tradition that dates back to 1910. They are made from carefully selected, finely ground pigments, ensuring their reliability, purity, and excellent resistance to external influences.
Each tube contains information about the chemical composition of the pigments and their light fastness, marked with stars:
*** Three stars indicate the highest light fastness,
** Two stars indicate medium light fastness,
* One star indicates the lowest light fastness.
This labelling allows artists to choose paints with the desired durability, so their works can be preserved for centuries.
The pigments are bound with refined linseed oil with low acidity, contributing to their high quality.
Whites and cobalt violets are bound with refined safflower oil, which is lighter and dries more slowly.
A special stabilizer, made from high-quality natural raw materials, is added in small amounts to each color. This stabilizer acts as a neutralizer, extends the paints longevity, and improves its consistency, which is smoothly buttery and "short." Thanks to this, the paints maintain their premium quality for decades.
